Privacy Policy
Effective October 12, 2026
Form does not collect your data. There are no accounts, there is no sign-up, and there is no Better Form LLC server. Everything you log stays on your devices and in your own iCloud, and we cannot see it. This policy explains that in full, including the few places where you can choose to send something.
1. What Form stores, and where
Every workout, exercise, set, schedule, profile, program, and setting you create is stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you keep iCloud enabled for Form, that data also syncs to your other devices through your Apple Account. Either way, none of it is transmitted to Better Form LLC.
The exercise library ships inside the app as a read-only database. Searching, filtering, and browsing it happen entirely on your device and send nothing anywhere. Any copy of Form's data held in iCloud, whether through sync or through iCloud Backup, belongs to your Apple Account and is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours. We have no access to it.
Some settings describe you, such as your age, gender, body composition, experience level, and training goals. Age, gender, and body composition are optional. They are stored exactly like the rest of your data and are never sent to us. The Apple Watch app and the Form widgets read your data on your own devices and send it nowhere else.
2. Apple Health
Form writes to Apple Health only if you grant it permission, and only while you have Premium. With permission, it saves your completed workouts to Health as workout entries, each with its activity type, its start and end time, and an identifier Form uses to recognize its own entries.
Form reads back only the workouts it saved itself, so it can keep them in step with your history. If you edit or delete a workout in Form, the matching Health entry is updated or removed. Form does not read any of your other Health data.
You can change or withdraw that permission at any time in the Health app. Entries Form has already saved stay in Health until you delete them there. Form never transmits your Health data to Better Form LLC or to anyone else.
3. Location, routes, and steps
Form uses your location only while route tracking is open during a workout, for example on a run, walk, or ride, and only after you grant permission. While it is open, Form reads your position to draw your route and to measure distance, pace, speed, and elevation, and it keeps doing so with the screen off or the app in the background until you finish or close it.
The finished route is saved with that workout on your device and syncs to your other devices through your Apple Account if you keep iCloud enabled for Form. It is never transmitted to Better Form LLC, and Form does not read your location at any other time.
The map behind your route is drawn by Apple Maps, so your device requests map imagery for that area from Apple, and Apple handles those requests under its own privacy policy. You can turn location access off for Form at any time in your device's Settings. Route tracking then stops working, and everything else in the app keeps working.
On exercises that count steps, such as a run, walk, or hike, route tracking also reads the step count from your iPhone's motion sensors, and only after you grant Motion & Fitness permission. Form keeps only the number of steps taken while tracking is open and saves it with that workout, on your device and in your own iCloud like the rest of your data. It is never transmitted to Better Form LLC. You can turn this access off at any time in your device's Settings, and you can then enter steps by hand.
4. Notifications
Form sends notifications only if you allow them. They are local notifications, scheduled by the app on your own device. They tell you when a rest timer ends, remind you about a workout you left unfinished, and remind you of the workouts on your active roadmap.
There is no push server and no notification token, so nothing about your reminders leaves your phone, and we have no way to send you a message. You can turn notifications off for Form at any time in your device's Settings.
5. Purchases
Premium subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple. Better Form LLC never receives your payment method, card number, or billing address. The app asks Apple whether an active subscription exists and receives an answer of yes or no. It does not receive your identity, your Apple Account, or your purchase history.
Form checks your subscription with Apple when it opens and when Apple reports a change, such as a renewal or a cancellation. Restoring a purchase on a new device works the same way, and none of it passes through a Better Form LLC server. If you write to us about a purchase, we know only what you choose to put in your message.
6. Email you choose to send us
The Support, Feedback, and Suggest Exercise buttons open Apple's mail composer, prefilled with the app version, your iOS version, your device model, and, for a suggestion, the search term and filters that were active when you tapped it.
Nothing is sent until you tap Send, and you can read, edit, or delete any of it first. If you send it, we receive what you sent at support@trainwithform.com or feedback@trainwithform.com and keep it only as long as it takes to answer you and to act on it.
7. What Form never does
No analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, and no advertising software. The app contains no third-party code of any kind. No tracking across other apps or websites, no advertising identifier, and no App Tracking Transparency prompt, because there is nothing to track. No selling, renting, or sharing of personal information. We hold none to sell. No profiles, no scoring, and no automated decisions about you.
Apple may share with app developers statistics about how their apps are used, drawn from people who have chosen in their own device settings to share that information with developers. Anything we see that way comes from Apple under its own privacy policy, and not from any code in Form.
Some buttons open something outside Form. Search YouTube opens YouTube with the name of the exercise you were viewing, and the links in Settings open our website and our social pages. What happens there is governed by that service's own privacy policy, and Form passes along nothing beyond the address it opens.
8. Children
Form is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Because the app collects nothing from anyone, there is no children's information for us to hold, share, or delete.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has emailed us personal information, write to support@trainwithform.com and we will delete the message. Exercise carries particular risks for young people, so a parent or guardian should decide whether Form is appropriate and supervise its use.
9. Your choices and your rights
Deleting the app removes everything it stored on that device. Workouts Form saved to Apple Health stay in Health until you delete them there, and data synced to iCloud stays in your iCloud until you remove Form's data from iCloud in your device's Settings. Each permission described in this policy can be turned off there as well.
California residents have the right to know what personal information a business collects, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. Better Form LLC does not collect, sell, or share personal information, so there is nothing to disclose, delete, or opt out of beyond email you have chosen to send us. Write to support@trainwithform.com and we will act on any such request.
Exercising any of these rights will never cause you to be treated differently or charged a different price. People in other places may have similar rights under their own laws. Write to the same address and we will respond as the law that applies to you requires.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version is posted at trainwithform.com/privacy-policy with a new effective date at the top. Material changes will be described plainly rather than buried in the text.
Form has no accounts and holds no email address for you, so we cannot notify you of a change directly. If the app changes in a way that affects what this policy says, the policy will be updated to match, with a new effective date.
